We celebrated our 40-year anniversary in style with the annual Big Brands Trade Event last month.  

The Big Brands Trade Event took on an in-store and online presence at five Stax branches from September 20th to October 1st. 

Attendees were treated to huge deals from leading suppliers including Ronseal, Dencon, PPG, Harris, Bostik and Rawlplug whilst there were also outdoor ‘demo days’ held in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow giving customers the opportunity to get their hands on the latest products. 

Some of the our biggest retail customers flocked to the branches over the 11-day period to take advantage of 'show only' deals, offers and giveaways from over 100 top trade brands. Pallet deals also proved a hugely successful attraction for customers once again with many placing big orders.

Feedback from exhibitors and attendees was largely positive, with many saying the event already has a firm place in their 2022 diaries.

Sam Favager, national key account manager for Soudal UK, commented:

"We visited Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow and sold more products in one morning than we would normally sell in a week if we weren’t there. 

"It definitely showed the power of joint working and we will absolutely be back next year," 

The show featured a charity Gala Dinner, with raffle proceeds and donations exceeding £3,000 in aid of the Rainy Day Trust. As the UK's only home improvement charity, supporting this who work or have worked within the industry, it was a fitting cause for the occasion.

“Each year we take on board comments from customers and suppliers to try and make the event bigger and better. So far the feedback has been very positive and we've already had interest in next year's shows from a number of our key suppliers.”
