Ray Thomas, who worked within the goods-in team at Stax Bristol, has retired after twenty-five years of service to Stax.
The Bristol team held a surprise presentation for Ray at which Operations Director Nigel Wright presented him with his twenty-five year service certificate and a voucher for £150.
Ray collects pocket watches and also enjoys water colour painting, so the Bristol team organised a collection and presented him with an engraved pocket watch and painting materials along with several bottles of his favourite tipple plus glasses to go with it.
Having worked all his life from the age of fourteen, including a period of time serving in the grenadier guards, Ray is looking forward to spending some time with his wife Pat and enjoying cruises and hobbies together.
All the team at Bristol will miss him and we wish Ray a long and happy retirement.
